Ian Gowdie
Having retired from a rewarding lifetime of teaching in Oban High School’s Art Department, Ian Gowdie has returned to his own projects. A veteran of the local exhibition scene, this is his first foray into prints.

Ian Gowdie found inspiration for his latest collection of paintings in the history and landmarks of Scotland.
“we live in an area with such a rich heritage it felt appropriate to reflect this in my work.”
Iain Gowdie passed away on June 10th 2025, he is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Elizabeth Gowdie.
